In their first road victory of the season, the Golden State Warriors beat the Houston Rockets 127-120 on Sunday night. Klay Thompson scored 41 points, and Steph Curry added 33.
The Warriors improved to 8-9 on the season after starting 0-8 away from home. After starting 3-7, Golden State has won five of its last seven games.
While Curry struggled early in the game, he shot 11 of 20 from the field, including 7 of 14 from beyond the arc. In addition, he had 15 assists, one shy of his career high.
Curry hit a key 3-pointer with two minutes remaining to double the Warriors’ lead to 121-115. During the last few seconds of the game, Curry made another basket to put Golden State up by nine. He gestured to the crowd as if he had put the game to bed.
