Warriors defeat Rockets 116-101 as Thompson scores 42 points

On Friday, Thompson led the Golden State Warriors past the Houston Rockets 116-101 with 42 points and 12 3-pointers.

The Klay Thompson show took over on Friday night against the Houston Rockets with Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins out of the lineup. 

With a fiery performance from beyond the arc, the veteran guard fueled the Warriors to a much-needed shorthanded win. Thompson hit 12 triples from long range during the Warriors’ 116-101 victory over the Rockets. 

In 36 minutes, Thompson notched 42 points, seven rebounds, and an assist while torching the Rockets from deep. Thompson scored 40 or more points for the fourth time this season on Friday. 

With Curry out due to injury, DiVincenzo contributed 15 points with five triples in the Warriors’ win over the Rockets.
