Golden State Warriors Extend Winning Streak to Four with Victory Over Wizards, Thanks to Curry’s Return

The Golden State Warriors continued their winning momentum on Monday night, defeating the Washington Wizards 125-112 in a high-energy matchup. This fourth consecutive victory highlighted the team’s depth and determination and the inspiring return of their star, Stephen Curry, after a brief injury setback.

Curry, playing his first game since recovering from an ankle injury, scored 24 points, including 16 in a powerful second-half performance. He set the tone early with a three-pointer to open the game, then delivered a buzzer-beater at the end of the first half, sending the Warriors into halftime with a 54-45 lead. The crowd erupted, seeing Curry’s impact lift the team and ignite the Warriors’ spirit.

Golden State’s bench depth was on full display as Buddy Hield and the Warriors’ reserves combined for an impressive 60 points. This depth has been a standout factor all season, giving the Warriors a significant advantage and helping them maintain leads when starters rest.

For Washington, Jordan Poole led with 24 points, while Kyshawn George contributed 20 points despite Washington’s struggles from beyond the arc. Golden State’s defense and timely scoring proved too much for the Wizards to overcome. Jonathan Kuminga and Lindy Waters III sealed the deal in the fourth quarter, pushing the Warriors ahead decisively.

Golden State fans have every reason to be optimistic, as Coach Steve Kerr celebrated his 800th game with the team. With Curry back and the bench thriving, the Warriors are positioning themselves as genuine contenders this season.
