It was the first time all season that Steph Curry wasn’t the best Warriors player. Jordan Poole was the star of the night, scoring 16 points, five rebounds, and five assists with just one turnover in 27 minutes.
After posting his best scoring numbers from two, three, and the free-throw line since his rookie season, Poole is struggling to build off his breakout 2021-22 campaign. While Klay Thompson rested for the second half of the back-to-back, Poole was unstoppable on Monday night.
The Dubs took a 33-26 lead in the first quarter thanks to 14 points from Poole. Poole kept Golden State’s foot on the gas in the second quarter, when Curry was on the bench.
